Who We Are

The members of the Apparition & Paranormal Investigation Society are individuals who are interested in communicating with the paranormal world. Our team has visited many different types of “haunted” places including cemeteries, houses, and old buildings.

We have gotten e-mail from people who say that they do not see any ghosts in the photos we have published. Well, if your definition of “ghosts” is a white, human-looking object floating around, then those people are absolutely right! To a ghost hunter, a ghost looks much different than the common image of a child with a white sheet over his or her head during Halloween.

Here at HauntedAPIS.com, we do NOT consider ourselves “ghost hunters”. Instead we think of ourselves as “ Paranormal Investigators”. Although it may not seem like it, there is a big difference between the two. As a paranormal investigation team, we hunt for paranormal activity, not necessarily ghosts. According to Webster’s dictionary, paranormal activity is anything “beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation.” So, based on that definition, things like mysterious fog or lines on a picture are indeed paranormal activity. Ghosts on the other hand are spirits of the deceased who appear to the living in a human-like form. As of yet, we have not seen any “ghosts”. “ Paranormal activity” on the other hand, we have seen a lot of.

Our mission is to find the answers to the unexplained and share the truth. Paranormal activity is all around us. Whether it is visible or not is a different question. It is up to paranormal investigators like us to witness and document what we see, and then share it with the people of this world who seek it.
